Navicular Stress Fracture

The navicular bone is an important bone at the top of the arch of the foot and given its position, it is subjected to significant loads. This means that in athletes the risk for a navciular stress fracture. Of all the stress fractures in the foot, the navicular is one of the serious one. Full non-weightbearing for 6 weeks is often needed before a gradual return to sport is needed.
