Mycetoma (Madura Foot)

Mycetoma, also known as Madura Foot is a chronic granulomatous inflammatory disease, which is endemic in tropical and subtropical countries. Mycetoma is characterised by a localised infection of subcutaneous tissues by a fungus that often involves the underlying bone. It was described first in the early 1800s.
