Chilblains

by Admin on February 25, 2012

Chilblains are a common problem in colder climates and causes a red inflamed itchy lesions on the toes. The cold does not actually cause them, but a too rapid change in temperature from cold to warm is what causes a spasm in the blood vessels and the inflammatory reaction. The best way to manage chilblains is to prevent them. If that is too difficult then various creams can be used to help manage the problem.
